Newsletter March 2019
Greetings from Country Dawn Quilting
Well winter has finally arrived! So … that's a great reason to get all those crafty projects out with a clear conscience, as it's too wet and cold to do much else.
New arrivals - as requested we now have the complete range of Madeira Poly Neon in store … fabulous colours and well priced at $8.50 for the solid colours. We will be putting them on the web site this week.
We have a Baby Lock Sashiko machine in store which we’ve been having fun with, you can see a sample in the photo to the left. The quilting looks so much like hand quilting and has the same lovely soft feel - we think it’s a great alternative option to ‘regular’ machine quilting. Call in to see the machine and our samples , you’re more than welcome to try it - it’s so easy to use.
Thinking about knitting and crochet? Countrywide Yarns have a fabulous range of 100% wool, machine washable, 8ply at a great price - just $4.50 per ball for plain/solid colours and $4.90 per ball for the variegated and marl. For something more exotic we’ve got the gorgeous Countrywide Yarns Possum Merino … it's so cozy and light and knits up beautifully. We have a selection of lovely new patterns designed to go with the 14 colours, and it’s very well priced at $13.80 for a 30 gram ball.

The Baby Lock machines are now on the website ... if you're thinking about an overlocker, coverseamer or a combination of both, take a look at the various Baby Lock options. Baby Lock produced the first home overlocker on the market. Then in 1993, the Baby Lock engineers developed the unique jet-air system which is now standard on all Baby Lock machines (except for the BL097), it threads the loopers by means of compressed air quickly, easily and automatically! For stress-free overlocker threading this is something you need to see ... we'll be happy to show you how easy it is on our demo machines.
